Dr. Kitty Oliver is a noted oral historian on stories of race and ethnic relations across cultures who conducts field research and lectures internationally.  The veteran South Florida journalist-turned-university writing professor has a Ph.D. focusing on race and ethnic communication and an MFA in creative writing. She has authored books on her pioneering experiences with integration as well as the experiences of others. She is also producer of several public television documentaries on bridging cultures used widely in schools.
